The Epistle of St. James stands in the great tradition of ancient Israel's wisdom literature. Sent out from the early Mother Church, we have here the spiritual counsel of Jerusalem's first bishop and actual kinsman of our Lord Jesus. These are the holy maxims and strong teachings that formed the saints.
“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without uncertainty or insincerity” (James 3:17).
This retreat will be meditative, soul searching and instructive for your daily life.
