Ezra & Nehemiah: God's Great Reform of His People
Studies in the biblical books of Ezra & Nehemiah
with valuable lessons for our times in eight lessons with David Higbee, instructor
It takes a lot to build a healthy spiritual community. It entails really knowing and keeping God’s law. It also entails the most practical, down-to-earth provisions for the people’s worship and welfare; and wise and vigorous reforms, both spiritually and socially.
This study treats a subject little known and little understood in Catholic circles today. Yet it is a vital part of salvation history. The rediscoveries and reforms of that era are a reason we stand in our faith today. What’s more, the lessons of that long ago time are profoundly instructive to our present situation. They cry to us saying, “Ecclesia semper reformanda!”
